After Wilco, Feelthere, Coolsky and Flight1, yet another developer/publisher saw the benifits of hiring a company solely to texturize their models and decided to outsource their textures to us. Ariane Studios develops the whole Boeing 737 family : from the 600, to the 900/ER and their models are even officially licensed by the Boeing Company.
The collaboration between McPhat Studios and Ariane Studios stretches over a 14 month period, in which McPhat Studios will deliver 300 (!!) -averaging 21 per month- normal definition texture sets from operators all over the world. With 20 workdays in a month and an output of 21 liveries per month, that average at 8 hours per livery, we will have one Texture Artist full time on the job for over a year. Although in normal definition, you can expect the same level of detail and realisme as from all our previously released textures that always got excellent reviews.
Starting with the -800 for FS9 we will work our way through the whole Next Generation family, ending with High Definition Textures for the FSX models. As we are set to texturize every single operator that operates and used to operate the 737NG, you can be sure that you will be able to virtually fly your favorite operator.
The sheer size of the project, will ask the most from our Texture Artists en supporting staff, especially since we are simultaneously working with other developers on exciting projects and are also keen on doing our freeware work as well. There for the order in which we release, is set to accomodate us only, and cannot be requested. The liveries will be available through Ariane's website.
This page will be constantly updates with news, new screenshots, work in progress and release dates of the new packages as we go along. We also invite you to our forum, where more news will be available. |
